International Council for Open and Distance Education – ICDE, is the leading global membership organization for open, flexible and distance learning. The organization has recently launched a call for candidates to submit applications to ICDEs Advocacy Committee for OER, and applications from Oceania are particularly welcome.”
Applications from active ICDE members (paid Institutional, Individual or Student members) are welcome. Eligible candidates would be academic experts in open and distance education an OER. Selected applicants will be appointed ICDE Ambassadors for OER for a period of 2 years, with the possibility of renewal for another 2 years period. Applications must be submitted via email to icde@icde.org by 19 February 2021 at the latest.

APPLICATION PROCESS
The application should be written in English, not exceed 1500 words and include the following:
- A cover letter explaining personal motivations of the candidate with reference to the ICDE Strategic Plan for 2021-2024 and the UNESCO Recommendation on Open Educational Resources.
The application should include the following attachments:
- CV and publication list.
- A declaration confirming available capacity to perform the service within the given timeframe.
- Support letter from affiliated institution.
The deadline for applications is 19 February 2021. Selected candidates are appointed ICDE Ambassadors of OER by Secretary General Torunn Gjelsvik on behalf of the ICDE Board. Regional distribution and gender balance in the committee will be considered in the selection process.
