Massey University’s College of Science seeks to appoint a permanent, full-time Learning Co-ordinator to provide general technical support for online teaching.
In this role, you will be involved in supporting the development, maintenance and delivery of courses in the learning management system and would involve a mix of administrative and technical skills. You will support both students and Lecturers to use the online classrooms and associated tools including online streaming of face-to-face teaching and webinars, and the maintenance of ancillary websites.
This position is based within the College of Sciences, with 60% of your time assigned to the Masters of Veterinary Medicine (MVM) in the School of Veterinary Science. Within the MVM programme you will be part of a small team that supports contracted lecturers (both internal and external) to deliver distance teaching in the international programme. The MVM programme is committed to delivering high value, relevant and impactful learning experiences for post-graduate veterinarians.
As well as excellent computer and web technology skills, you will ideally have skills in developing online learning materials and learning management system content. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to design solutions with a customer-oriented attitude, be well-organised and able to meet tight deadlines.
