The 2018 FLANZ Conference was a great event that took us on a long and thoroughly satisfying learning journey. Along the way we discovered and re-discovered many things: That debating is fun – and that artificial intelligence is not the Holy Grail of education- we learned that it takes effort and dedication to be a practicing researcher, and that it can be a rewarding pursuit. We also learned, or were reminded, that learning is our shared passion, it is what drives us and brings us together for these opportunities to share our practice and research and enrich our own teaching and learning. A very warm thank you to all who contributed and participated and we look forward to seeing you all again.
