Ako Aotearoa has made a significant contribution to tertiary education in Aotearoa New Zealand, building an extensive collection of research, guides, tools, and sector insights. With Ako Aotearoa’s operations now at an end, its online resources will remain available on the current website ako.ac.nz until 31 December 2026.
To help ensure these materials continue to serve the sector, FLANZ is pleased to provide a gateway to the majority of Ako Aotearoa’s resources.
About This Collection
FLANZ’s mission, to support high‑quality, future focused, flexible learning, aligns closely with the principles that shaped Ako Aotearoa’s work. Many of the publications created through Ako Aotearo funded projects continue to offer valuable, research‑informed guidance for teaching and learning across the tertiary system.
We invite educators, learning designers, researchers, and all those engaged in tertiary education to explore and continue drawing on this significant national resource.
FLANZ does not alter or update Ako Aotearoa publications. They are provided as originally released to maintain the integrity and context of each piece of work. Users should be aware that some items may refer to earlier policy settings or organisational arrangements, but the underlying insights remain valuable for educators, researchers, and institutions.
Using the Resources
From this page, you can access the resources as they currently appear. A small number of resources are not included where licensing or permissions prevent long‑term hosting or linking. All remaining items, including good‑practice guides, research outputs, project summaries, and professional development materials, are available in their original form.
Sustaining Sector Knowledge
Preserving access to this body of work is an important step in supporting evidence‑informed practice and maintaining continuity across the tertiary education landscape. FLANZ is committed to ensuring that the knowledge developed through Ako Aotearoa-funded initiatives continues to be readily available to the sector in the years ahead.
