Asia-Pacific Online and Distance Education Week 2021. 1 – 5 November
Flexible Learning Association of New Zealand (FLANZ) and the Open and Distance Learning Association of Australia (ODLAA) are delighted to collaborate to jointly host the Asia-Pacific Online Distance Education (APODE) Week. In 2020, the COVID crisis put the spotlight on the value of investing in new flexible models of education and this exciting initiative aims to both celebrate and build further capacity in online distance education in the Asia-Pacific region. We hope to engage partners and key stakeholders throughout the region in a variety of online activities over the week. Notably, APODE Week also coincides with European Online and Distance Learning Week hosted by the European Distance & E-Learning Network (EDEN). We are delighted to partner with EDEN as this adds an even stronger international perspective to this innovative week-long virtual event. A series of webinars will be available during the week from leading practitioners and international educators working in the area. Watch for more information as this is a unique opportunity to critically reflect on the COVID experience and consider the role of new models of online distance education in the future
