Flexible Learning Association of New Zealand (FLANZ), formerly known as DEANZ, is a national association committed to fostering growth, development, research and good practice in distance education, open learning and flexible delivery systems for education.

FLANZ members are committed to making ako accessible for all. What makes us unique is our focus on understanding and improving the ways technologies are used to provide effective education when teachers and learners are separated by space or time. These separations are characteristic of distance, online and blended learning, and in open and flexible education settings. We have expertise across the spectrum of educational activities, and we apply this expertise to advocate for the field, support members, and provide advice when requested.

FLANZ is an Incorporated Associated and is registered with the NZ Charity Commission.
